Loud Park is one of the largest annual heavy metal rock music concerts in Japan. The Loud Park festival runs for 2 days and invites the largest thrash and heavy metal bands, especially well known Western bands. Their concerts are typically held in Chiba.

Loud Park used to be named “Beast Feast” when it opened in 2001, but at the time it was a much smaller venue. Since they were renamed “Loud Park” in 2006, they have become one of the largest heavy metal rock concert events in Japan, able to attract the top names in thrasher music. They were designed to appeal to hard core punk fans interested Primary in Western music. Headliners in the past have included Megadeth, Slayer, Marilyn Manson and Anthrax.

2006 and 2007 Loud Park Concerts

In 2006, Megadeth and Slayer headlined along with a number of smaller but well known heavy metal groups. As the first year of the Loud Park rock concert, there were a lot of expectations set on the success of the concert, and the overall opinion of the event seemed to meet those expectations. So much so, in fact, that prices increased by 150% when the concert series opened again the next year.

2006 was a collaboration of a variety of different organizers including Nippon Media and Tokyo FM. All of these organizers were back in 2007, for another Loud Park event. Headliners of the 2007 Loud Park Concert included Marilyn Manson and Heaven and Hell. Overall, 24 different bands played at this 2 day concert, and again it was considered a tremendous success.
