Takeshi Hosomi (細美 武士) is a Japanese musician born on February 22, 1973. Hosomi is both a singer and guitarist and became famous in Japan as the leader of the popular JRock band Ellegarden for ten years from 1998 to 2008. After Ellegarden announced they would stop playing together as a band in 2008, Takeshi Hosomi launched his new band The Hiatus at Punk Spring 2009. The Hiatus put out their debut album on May 27, 2009 and launched a tour of Japan to support the album. Though he is Japanese, Takeshi Hosomi often sings in (near perfect) English while performing with The Hiatus, as he did with Ellegarden.
