Overview

Takao Osawa was born on March 11, 1968 in Tokyo, Japan. He has acted in numerous movies and television programs since his television debut in 1994. In addition to acting, he lent his voice as narrator of the Japanese version of the American movie The March of the Penguins, which was narrated in English by actor Morgan Freeman.

Awards

Takao Osawa won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Nikkon Sports Award for his role in the 2006 film Metro ni notte. He was also nominated for two Japanese Academy Awards: in 2005 for best actor for his role in Gege and in 2007 for best supporting actor for his role in Metro ni notte.
