Diakanyama Unit is a live music club located in Shibuya, Tokyo. The Unit is actually cut into 3 parts, with a café/lounge known as Unice on the first floor, Unit (The Live space) on the 2nd floor, and a bar known as “Saloon” on the 3rd floor. Diakanyama Unit opened up in June of 2004. It began as a small underground facility but has quickly become one of the hottest places in Tokyo for local and international artists.

Access

There are several ways to get to Daikanyama Unit. If you catch the Tokyu-Toyoko line and get off at Daikanyama station, it is a 2 minute walk. If you take the Tokyu-Toyoko line or the Hibiya Line and get off at Nakameguro Station it is a 5 minute walk. And if you take the JR Yamanote Line or the Hibiya Subway line and get off at Ebisu Station it is a 7 minute walk.

Facility

Daikanyama Unit is one of the smaller live houses in Japan. It fits only 600 individuals. Its popularity is largely due to Unice and Saloon making the Daikanyama Unit a popular place for young adults to relax with their friends. Daikanyama Unit is a 20+ Club, because they provide alcohol on the premises.
