Onward Kashiyama is a Japanese clothing manufacturer. Distributing clothing under its own line name for both men and women, Onward Kashiyama is also well known for producing clothing for designer lines including Calvin Klein, Jean Paul Gualtier, Sonia Rykiel, and Paul Smith. Products of Onward Kashiyama are sold in the company’s own privately held stores as well as through a number of department stores around the world. The company has expanded in recent years beyond fashion to include art, boat sales, dancewear, golf, resorts, and travel through numerous subsidiaries.

Kashiyama Trading was established in 1927 as a trading goods company and was later reincorporated as Kashiyama Co., Ltd in 1947. The Company was rebranded again in 1962 and 1963 and was officially listed on the first section of the Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya stock exchanges in 1964. International divisions of the company were first created in 1973 and 1974 in France and Italy and throughout the 1980s and 1990s the company continued to grow and add more business as it expanded into multiple countries in Europe and North America.
Onward Kashiyama currently has licensing agreements and is the parent company of more than 25 different clothing lines around the world and produces clothing under its own name in Japan for sale in its own boutiques and stores and in department stores. There are more than three dozen stores currently in Japan owned by Onward Kashiyama and multiple more outside Japan in China, South Korea, France, Italy, and Britain.
Onward Kashiyama has multiple stores located throughout major Japanese cities, including six stores in Tokyo under the Onward Kashiyama name and multiple other stores that carry their products. Additionally, the products produced by Onward Kashiyama can be found in cities around the world.
